Wanna know why the bomber jacket is called a “bomber jacket”?
Turns out the reason dates alllllll the way back to the when flight jackets were first invented to keep pilots warm during WWI and WWII air missions. Crazy thing is…bomber jackets aren’t the only military fashion item that’s crossed over into mainstream fashion. But I’ll tell you more about that later.

The POPFLEX Cloud Bomber Jacket
When these jackets became popular post-war, one reason they were iconic was the way women wore them to bend gender norms. But that doesn’t mean we can’t design one meant to FIT a woman’s body.
For the POPFLEX Cloud Bomber Jacket, I took inspo from the 1940s version of the bomber jacket and kept the ribbed cuffs on the sleeves but added thumbholes. I also added a dropped shoulder and blousey romantic sleeves, and a cute lil little back pleat.
BUT THIS THE BEST PART.
I used the same fabric that we use for our viral Cloud Hoodies to make it super plush and soft. The jacket still has the structure of the OG bombers, but it’s also cozy!
I’m wearing s/m and I’m 5’5”. This comes in xxs/xs to 3x/4x and in 5 different colors!
Hope you enjoyed today’s history lesson!
